“Budding Biodiversity” is a hands-on workshop for school students which will introduce them to biodiversity, and the environmental impacts that changes to ecosystem structure can have on the planet. This workshop aims to raise awareness in an age appropriate, relevant, interactive, and positive way. The workshops will equip students with the knowledge and skills that will help them and the wider community respond effectively to environments with poor biodiversity.
This workshop is suitable for all primary level students and students at the junior and TY stages of secondary level.
The workshop will incorporate a variety of fun, interactive, and thought-provoking activities and enhance the personal development of students in areas such as critical thinking, communication, leadership and presentation skills. During the workshop, students will discuss practical, relevant examples of how students can take positive action towards tackling water consumption.
Each workshop will last approximately 1.5 hours and up to 4 workshops can be delivered per day in each school. Workshops can be delivered to one class (approx 30 students) at a time
