We work with people at all levels of society, particularly those often left behind.
We focus on behaviour change, equipping individuals and communities with knowledge and skills to help them develop local and effective solutions to the environmental and climate crises.
As a Patron, you can help us promote knowledge and practice about the power of local action.Â
By becoming a Patron, you join an extraordinary group of people and organisations who share our passion for evidence-based change. Patrons help us to unlock the power of people all over Ireland, and they provide inspiration to thousands of people who are looking to make a difference.Â

What does a Patron do?
There are no special requirements for Patrons. Ultimately, our Patrons can be involved as much or as little as they want.
For us, the benefits of your Patronage include increased funding, support, awareness and visibility. And Patrons benefit from a range of tangible benefits (see below) and from knowing that they are part of an ambitious and creative movement for change.
How do Patrons benefit?
In appreciation of their generous support, we are pleased to offer our Patrons:
- An assurance to be the first to hear of our future plans, through bespoke updates;
- Opportunities to feedback your thoughts on our plans and programmes;
- Acknowledgement as a Patron supporter e.g. on our website and in our Annual Report and Accounts (unless you wish to remain anonymous);
- Invitations to events held online and around the country.
Corporate Patrons
The GAP Patrons community represents a growing number of businesses who have pledged their support to Global Action Plan, in recognition of our shared values and vision.Â
GAP’s corporate Patrons help our charity in many ways, ranging from financial support through to joint public relations, networking and wider awareness raising initiatives to help increase the reach and impact of our organisation.Â
From the outset, GAP will work with our Patrons to discuss how their business can partner with us in the pursuit of our overall goal of realising a better future for our planet and for the people that depend on it.
In addition to the benefits for individual Patrons (see above), Corporate Patrons are awarded a Patronage certificate to attest to our partnership. In addition, Patrons receive discounts on our corporate support services such as workshops and team-building events in our community gardens.Â
As a Corporate Patron, your organisation becomes part of a movement of climate leaders, with its associated benefits for your corporate public relations, brand reputation, and increased staff engagement.Â
