Welcome to Just Maps, an exciting project bringing together students, teachers and communities across Spain, Italy, Ireland, Poland and Kenya.
Just Maps empowers young people to act as global citizens within their own communities.
Led by GAP Spain, and funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, this project takes students on a journey of discovery and action, starting with mapping their neighbourhoods, and investigating their local community’s capacity to tackle environmental issues, social injustices and global challenges.
This innovative initiative fosters critical skills and intercultural competence while promoting a justice-based perspective on local and global interconnected issues.
Join us in redefining Global Citizenship Education!
Just Maps isn’t just a project; it’s a movement empowering the next generation.
Students aged 8-15, from diverse cultural backgrounds, will collaborate across borders, creating digital maps that highlight both the strengths and challenges of their communities. Together, they will form the Transnational Council of Mappers, working hand in hand to propose and implement solutions that make a real difference locally and globally.
Teachers will play a pivotal role as facilitators, engaging in a transformative professional development journey that enriches classroom dynamics with innovative teaching methodologies.
Let’s inspire change together.
