The US Ambassador to Ireland, H.E. Claire D. Cronin, visited the GLAS Community Garden in Ballymun on Friday 29 April.

The garden, operated by Global Action Plan, is a hub for green living and social inclusion initiatives in the Ballymun community.

Volunteers of all abilities and backgrounds come to the garden to learn about organic horticulture and to discover the joys of working with nature.

US Ambassador in the garden

The Ambassador visited the GLAS garden to learn more about the work undertaken by Global Action Plan. We were able to brief the Ambassador on our work on behavioural change, and to introduce her to some of our key partners.

After her visit to the GLAS garden, Ambassador Cronin also visited the Virgin Mary National Boys School, which works with GAP on a number of programmes.
