EXPLORING BIODIVERSITY & OUR NATURAL HERITAGE
Our NATIONAL HERITAGE WEEK workshop looked to the importance of biodiversity conservation and the protection of our natural heritage.
Creating sustainable communities is at the heart of what we do at Global Action Plan. To celebrate National Heritage Week we hosted a family workshop, welcoming entire families with kids of all ages.
Beginning with a tour, delving deep into the many features of our community garden, to unearth all of the living things that call it home. Following a demonstration on how to safety catch different insects the bug hunt began! The kids then used magnifying glasses to identify all of the minibeasts they found, research their habitat and their contribution to the biodiversity of a garden, before returning them safely to where we found them.
