“Water Explorer” is a practice-oriented workshop for schools that explores the theme of water from a range of perspectives.
Students are introduced to the environmental impacts of our water use through a range of fun, interactive, and thought-provoking activities.
During the workshop, students are encouraged to explore practical ways in which they can take positive action towards conserving water and tackling water pollution. Students take part in a range of hands-on experiments and challenges which will also help them understand the value of conserving water. We also consider water issues in a local and global context and analyse equity issues around access to water in the Global South.
This workshop is suitable for primary level students from 1st to 6th Class and students at the junior and TY stages of secondary level. Learning outcomes are adapted to respond to the age and interests of the students. Each workshop will last approximately 1.5 hours and up to 3 workshops can be delivered per day in each school. Workshops can be delivered to one class (approx 30 students) at a time.
For schools, our workshops start from €160 and are delivered across one day. We have an incremental cost of €60 per workshop for multiple workshops in one day.
Travel costs will also apply where applicable. We offer 15% discounts for DEIS schools.
