Following the successful 2023 challenge, the Irish funds and asset management industry is once again gearing up for our innovative climate competition.

Launched on 28 February, the Funds Industry Climate Challenge – organised by the sector’s Green Team Network in collaboration with Global Action Plan – is an opportunity for companies to mobilise and inspire their employees to take practical and impactful climate action.

Last year, 23 companies participated in the inaugural Funds Industry Climate Challenge.
Over the course of 2 weeks the 2,300+ participants logged 220,000 small actions that saved over 173,000kg of CO2.

This is equivalent to not using the total amount of energy consumed by 33 households during an entire year, or 87 diesel cars not driving for a whole year.

The climate challenge also won an award at the All-Ireland Sustainability for stakeholder engagement initiative of the year.

This year GAP and the Green Team Network are hoping to grow the challenge further and get more companies to take part.
