Global Action Plan is pleased to announce the appointment of Aisling McCaffrey as its new Chairperson.
With a distinguished career in the financial services sector, Ms McCaffrey brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the organisation. Her commitment to climate action and passion for environmental behaviour change aligns seamlessly with GAP Ireland’s goals and vision for the future

Ms. McCaffrey succeeds Caoimhe Donnelly, who served 3 years as Chairperson and played a pivotal role in the transformation of GAP Ireland.
In that period, the organisation has undergone a remarkable transformation, doubling the number of events it organises yearly, more than tripling the number of people it reached, and doubling its income.
Guided by the new Strategic Plan, adopted in 2023, GAP Ireland has brought its unique blend of social inclusion, environmental education and climate action to an ever growing number of people: In 2023, it recorded over 13,000 engagements, at almost 600 events.
Before Covid, GAP worked in 6 different Counties, whereas in 2023 its activities covered 16 Counties.
