The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are now a central part of the Tidy Towns application. But what does that mean for your community group?

We’ve heard from a lot of Tidy Towns groups that the SDGs can be a bit overwhelming and confusing. But in fact, most groups are already doing fantastic work in this area – they just need to be able to frame their work in terms of the SDGs!

GAP has developed an SDG Masterclass that helps your Tidy Towns group to better understand why the SDGs exist, what they aim to do, and how your community can contribute.

In our interactive, 90-minute session, we will:

  • Familiarise groups with the 17 SDGs – how they were developed, what they aim to achieve, and the issues with them.
  • Help connect the work your Tidy Towns group is doing to the SDGs
  • Offer resources to support you in your Tidy Towns application

We can run these workshops in a few different ways:

If there are 1 or 2 members of your community group interested, you can join one of our open sessions that include Tidy Towns groups from across the country. Find a list of available dates here.

If there are 4 or more members of your community group interested, you can schedule a private session with our expert facilitator. Check here for available dates.
