Learning for Life
The main aim of the Learning for Life programme is to empower young people to become active citizens in their locality, caring for the social, economic, and environmental landscape of their community.
How does it work?
Global Action Plan staff work with individual classes educating them about a range of environmental topics and getting them to take action on the environment. The course is strongly linked to the National Curriculum particularly the SESE strands and complements the Green Schools Initiative whilst empowering the students by encouraging them to take on simple actions to benefit the environment. Throughout the course the students get to participate in fun activities based on the principals of interactive and enquiry based learning.
As part of the course students also take empowering actions to change their habits and attitudes and become more eco-friendly.
