Ballymun Tidy Towns Grant

The Ballymun Tidy Towns committee are getting ready for another busy year of working with the community to make Ballymun and cleaner, greener and safer place. And they need lots of help…… from YOU!

Volunteer clean-ups

There will be a series of volunteer clean-up events throughout Ballymun from April – August this year, approximately one every fortnight. Lots of people helping means there’ll be more work done, which means more satisfaction and enjoyment for all participants.

Volunteering would involve:

A few hours light work in Ballymun.
Safety gear & light refreshments provided.

Environmental Grant

Do you and your neighbours need money to clean up your own street area or some other project idea to improve your environment? The Ballymun Tidy Towns committee is providing a small environmental grant for local groups to help implement Tidy Towns related environmental projects in their area.

Ballymun Tidy Towns Communittee was set up to develop working relationship, partnerships and information exchange between waste management, community development and environment interest groups of Ballymun.

The community is actively encouraging new involvement and awareness of Tidy Towns activities.

The Ballymun Tidy Towns Committee is a voluntary organisation that is open to all groups in Ballymun.

GAP like to encourage local populations to look after their villages and streets. In recent weeks (from April to August 2011) GAP has a total of 13 clean ups organized in Ballymun.
