Transparency and good governance are key at Global Action Plan Ireland.

As set out in our Strategic Plan, Global Action Plan aspires to best practice standards in all aspects of our work. We work with others, and make it easy for anyone interested in our work to understand what we do, and why, and we actively seek input from all our stakeholders, to help us innovate and improve.

Our Board of Directors

Our Board comprises of eight Directors, with backgrounds in business, finance, risk management, communications and environmental science.

We strive to maintain equitable gender balance on the board and have a strong ethical compass. All directors are voluntary and receive no remuneration.

The Board provides direction, strategic leadership and oversight, and works with our dedicated staff team to ensure that we perform according to the high standards we have set for our work.

Dóchas Code of Conduct on Images and Messages

Since 2017, we have been signatories of the Dóchas Code of Conduct on Images and Messages. The Code provides a best practices framework for organisations for images and messages use in communications. These guidelines promote dignity, equality, fairness, solidarity, and justice for everyone involved.

If you feel that we are in violation of this code, please contact [email protected] with any feedback or complaints. If you believe our response is unsatisfactory, the next step would be to address your complaint to the Dóchas Director at [email protected]. In either case, please be sure to include which principle or principles of the Code you feel we may have been breached, and why.

2021

As an organisation specialised in education, the Covid-19 pandemic impacted heavily on our work. However, we were able to switch many of our in-person learning programmes into online activities, and ensure that we continued to make a positive impact on people of all backgrounds and abilities.

2015 Annual Report: Communities Grow Together

In 2015 our impact grew as we launched a number of exciting initiatives gaining traction internationally, we worked with over 34,000 individuals nationally and our annual report is a snapshot of the incredible work which the GAP team have delivered.
