- UNESCO acknowledges GAP Programmes as contributing to the goals of the Decade for Education for Sustainable Development
- Department of Education approved in-service training course for Primary Schools Teachers
- SEAI Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland-GAP is the appointed service provider of the SEAI Primary Schools workshop programme. The workshops are strongly linked with the National Curriculum and 600 are delivered yearly to Primary school children across the country.
- Bodyshop Foundation-Between 2007 and 2010 the Bodyshop Foundation funded a joint initiative between GAP UK, GAP Ireland and GAP Poland to roll out the ‘Action at School’ initiative. This encourages students and staff to examine the enviromental impact of their school and take action to reduce impact in these areas by changing student and staff behaviour. This project was highly successful engaging 18 schools and reaching over 5000 students.
- South Dublin County Council and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Projects-Based on the success of GAP’s environmental programme in Ballymun, both South DCC and DLRCC’s invited GAP to deliver similar environmental programmes to each of their respective communities.
